MCJC Connections
March/April 2018 * Adar/Nissan/Iyar * Volume 5778
Purim is a time for meaningful fun for kids of all ages. This year the festivities begin on Sunday, March 4 at 9:15 a.m.
We’ll open with music and noisy (it is Purim, after all) readings from the Book of Esther (the Megillah.) The famous, annual MCJC Home Made Purim Carnival including games, food, and general silliness starts around 10:30 a.m. Wear a costume, and bring toiletries and paper goods as we will be preparing bags for the McHenry County PADS services for the area’s homeless population (we’ll prep the bags from 10-10:30 a.m.).
Also, children will pass out Mishloach Manot gift bags to the other children in their class. MCJC will supply the critical groggers, Goldshlager, and hamantashen.
