Religious School News Week of December 10, 2019

This last week, students in all grades continued working on their Hebrew. Grades 2/3 learned another letter. Grades 4/5 continued working on reading prayers and Hebrew sight words. Grade 7 worked on reading and chanting prayers.  All are doing great!

All grades also enjoyed learning and singing Chanukah songs with our special guest, Ilene Kaye. They also enjoyed listening to and discussing a true Chanukah story with George Washington in it.

Please join us on Saturday, December 14, at 4:30 pm, for a Consecration Havdalah Ceremony, where our 4/5 Graders will receive their very own prayer books. A pizza party will follow! Parents, younger siblings and friends are welcome!

Please let us know if you can attend and how many are in your group via

Then on Sunday, December 15, we will enjoy our Annual Community Chanukah Party. The fun starts at 9:30 am with music, followed by activity stations and of course, latkes prepared by our own MCJC Maintenance Men!
