Update on MCJC’s Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team from the “Let’s Have Fun Together Committee”

We had to cancel our MCJC picnic event to see the Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team two weeks ago due to a schedule change for the Show Team.

We would like to update you, though, on the achievement of the Ski Team that weekend. They captured 3rd place in the 2019 National Show Ski Championship competition that was held August 9 through August 11 in Warsaw, Indiana! A team from Madison, Wisconsin won the national team title this year.

The MCJC “Let’s Have Fun Together” Committee will plan another picnic dinner outing on Wonder Lake Center Beach next summer to coincide with a performance of the Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team. The tentative date is Friday, July 24, 2020.

Join “Let’s Have Fun Together” August 16 for the Wonder Lake Water Ski Show

Don’t miss our next “Let’s Have Fun Together” event on Friday, August 16, at Wonder Lake Center Beach.  We will meet for a picnic at 6:00 pm followed by the highly entertaining Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team performing (admission free) at 7:00 pm.

The Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team won the National Show Ski Championship four times, and has been a top five national water ski show team competitor every year since 1996. During the one hour, fast moving, highly entertaining themed show, the Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team members perform a variety of gravity-defying stunts. Click here for some amazing pictures of the team in action.

Bring your own picnic dinner and lawn chairs, and plan to arrive at Wonder Lake Center Beach to meet the rest of our group at 6:00 pm. Bruce Weiss will lead us in Kiddush, the Shabbat prayer over wine, and HaMotzi, the prayer over the bread, before we eat our picnic dinners followed by the Wonder Lake Water Ski Show performing at 7:00 pm.

Wonder Lake Center Beach is located at 4110 E. Lake Shore Drive in Wonder Lake. We will gather under the big tree near the water, on the far right side of the beach, as you face the water.

If it is a sunny evening, wear a hat or sun visor, as the audience watches the ski show facing the western sky.

This event is weather-dependent and will be cancelled if it rains. Notification of cancellation will be posted in the e-nouncements at the top, right corner of

Please RSVP to, if you plan to attend this “Let’s Have Fun Together” event, so the committee knows how many people to expect.

Let’s Have Fun Together at the Woodstock Folk Festival, Sunday, July 21

The next MCJC “Let’s Have Fun together” program is the Woodstock Folk Festival, Sunday, July 21, Noon-6:00 pm in the park on the historic Woodstock City Square.

MCJC members and friends should bring a picnic lunch and lawn chairs and meet at 11:30 am on the Woodstock Square in the park and get ready to enjoy an afternoon of soulful music and wonderful fellowship.

This is the 34th consecutive year for this outstanding musical festival. An eclectic mix of performers from the U.S., Canada, and the UK will perform blues, country,  Americana, a cappella, international, traditional, and contemporary folk songs. The afternoon’s music program will also celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the First Lunar Landing and Moonwalk which took place July 20-21, 1969!
