MCJC’s Book Club Makes Selections

The MCJC Book Club has chosen its next few books up for discussion. All sessions
are facilitated by Rachel Kamin, are open to everyone, and unless otherwise noted,
will be conducted via Zoom. On Thursday, Dec. 16 at 7:00 pm the MCJC group will discuss Rebel Daughter by Lori Banov Kaufmann. This new novel takes the reader back in time to an event that changed the course of human history, the destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple. A thrilling saga of family, faith, and forbidden love, it blends the fascinating story of the Jewish people with a timeless protagonist determined to take charge of her own life against all odds. As a Book Club bonus, author Lori Banov Kaufmann and Dr. Jonathan Price, Professor of Ancient History at Tel Aviv University, will discuss the book and share details of their 10-year collaboration on Tuesday, December 14 at 12:30 pm, in a Zoom presentation for Rachel Kamin’s congregation. She will supply us with a link so we can join in for the discussion as well.
