About Us

MCJC is an independent, fully egalitarian Jewish congregation that continually strives to create moments and memories that are meaningful, enjoyable and engaging.

Our members come from the greater McHenry County area and beyond. Many live in Crystal Lake, McHenry and Woodstock, while others come from the surrounding towns of Marengo, Cary, Algonquin, and Huntley.

We hold worship services on rotating Friday evening and Saturday morning and for festivals. Classes meet throughout the week. Check out our Calendar for the latest details.

We are committed to diversity and inclusivity, and our congregation is as multicultural and multi-faith as the American Jewish community is, including: interfaith families, blended families and all points along the belief and observance spectrum.
