The MCJC "let's get together" committee's "The Creation of The Wizard of Oz" Update
The MCJC "let's get together" committee's "The Creation of The Wizard of Oz" program on Sunday November 17th was a huge entertainment success based on comments made at the after-show dessert social. Twenty-two members of the MCJC community and five members of the TOL community attended the program. Special thanks to Paula Eskoz, Ilene Kaye, Ellen Morton, Beth Osten, Maija Steele, Kay Pitluck, Gale Harris, and Bruce Weiss for their wonderful food contributions to the after-show dessert social.
Charles Troy shows are highly entertaining, brilliantly-crafted, and incredibly informative. The MCJC "let's get together" committee is hoping to bring him back to MCJC during 2025 to present his "The Creation of Fiddler On The Roof" show and his "Broadway: 10 Stories 10 Songs" show. The latter show features "behind the scenes" stories as well as the performance of the following popular Broadway show tunes: "Oh What a Beautiful Mornin" (Oklahoma!), Soliloquy (Carousel), "Some Enchanted Evening" (South Pacific), "I've Grown Accustomed To Her Face" (My Fair Lady), "Getting To Know You" (The King and I), "Til There Was You" (The Music Man), "Somewhere" (West Side Story), "If I Were A Rich Man" (Fiddler On The Roof), and "Over The Rainbow" (The Wizard of Oz).
