Delivering Food to People in Need
MCJC Drive-thru Food Pantry Team members Muriel Pick, Lou Dolmon, Linda & Jerry Trachsler, Paula Eskoz, Charles Mages, Lizz & John Dewey, Dale Morton, and Trish Atwater worked alongside volunteers from St. Ann's Episcopal Church and Grace Lutheran Church on Jan. 9 at the Woodstock drive-thru food pantry food distribution day. One hundred sixty seven families received boxes of food from the pantry that day. In addition, many of the same crew of MCJC volunteers assisted with the Feb. 6 food pantry distribution, which supported the needs of 174 families.
The Woodstock Drive-thru Food Pantry is a joint venture of the McHenry County Faith Leaders Food Collaborative and the Northern Illinois Food Bank. It is located across the street from Woodstock High School at 501 W. South Street in Woodstock and is open every other Monday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
