Rosh Hashanah Greeting from Rabbi Donni

The blasts of the Shofar urge us to listen as we seek to improve our life. The Shofar reminds us to listen to the blasts that reconnect us to Judaism, as we begin the process of Teshuva. Maybe we become mindful that the blasts of the Shofar serve as the medication to improve our souls.

We have forgotten to help and provide resources
for those in need.

The sounds and blasts of the Shofar connect us to loved ones, teachers, and congregants that found meaning in hearing the blasts of the Shofar.

During a time when there are blasts from guns, of hate and indifference, may the Shofar teach us about unity. May the blasts of Teruah teach us of sobbing and loss. The sound of Shevarim, as so many aspects of our broken lives fail to unite together.

Maybe the sounding of the Shofar can become a symbol of unity, faith, Tikkun Olam, Fixing the World.
