Social Action- Ukraine Collection

The MCJC Social Action/Community Service committee held a collection drive for Ukrainian refugees on Sunday morning, March 13 to collect nonperishable food items (especially baby food), all types of personal care items, and particularly, baby diapers and wipes, and medical supplies.   The items collected will be sent to Poland to help Ukrainian refugees.  This important project was spearheaded by MCJC member Gail Frank, who worked with Ukrainian native Maryana White of Island Lake, IL on this humanitarian mission.   Special thanks to members Gail Frank, Howard Frank, Dara Turnball, Muriel Pick, Ellen Morton, Jonah Markowitz, and Bruce Weiss for their help at the synagogue collection site.   Two minivans and one crossover van of items were collected!
