Adopt-A-Highway

The MCJC Social Action/Community Service committee is once again participating in the  McHenry County Department of Transportation Adopt-A-Highway program, and the McHenry County Conservation District Adopt-a-Trail program.   Participating in these two community service programs entails picking up litter along Ridgefield Road between Country Club Road and State Route 14, and along the State Route 14 bike trail between Ridgefield Road and Lucas Road.  This campaign occurs four times between April and November.   MCJC Social Action chairperson Bruce Weiss needs three people to help with these two community service projects.   Bruce has developed a system to complete the work in forty-five minutes if he has the help of three other people.   Otherwise, it takes Bruce two and one-half hours to complete the work by himself.   Please contact Bruce at 815-338-2721 or woodstockbruce@hotmail.com if you're able to help out with these community service programs.
